Student Peace Action Network is a grassroots peace and justice organization working from campuses across the US.. We organize for an end to physical, social, and economic violence caused by militarism at home and abroad. We campaign for nuclear abolition. We support a foreign policy based on human rights and international cooperation, and a domestic agenda that supports human and environmental concerns, not Pentagon excess. War is not inevitable. We push for practical alternatives..

End the Occupation of Palestine!
Campaign to Urge NCSU to Divest from Israel
"I am a black South African, and if I were to change the names, a description of what is happening in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank could describe events in [apartheid] South Africa."
~Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Every day the US government gives $17Million to the state of Israel. If there is ever going to be a just peace and equality between Israel and Palestine, then the US must stop financing the seperation.

SPAN has decided to run a campaign to convince NCSU to divest from Israel. There are a substantial amount of corporations that NCSU does business with that have invested in Israel including Coca Cola, Cisco Systems Ltd, General Electric, IBM, Lehmann Bros, and many more. Through divestment (stopping capital investment in companies that do business in Israel) and boycott (not buying Israeli products) we can bring justice to the Israelis and Palestinians as well.

We chose to target Caterpillar because they make custom bulldozers for Israel to use to destroy Palestinian homes.
Members of the AgTech school and the Mechanical Engineering Department do research for CAT and the business school invites them often their career fairs. We stand against CAT and we will fight until they get off our campus. We will no longer be complicite with these oppressive forces that operate in our midst.

Actions against CAT every Wednesday
Come join us every Wednesday for this entire semester we will be in the brickyard from 1130-130 as we demonstrate against CAT and make this campaign visible.
