Student Peace Action Network is a grassroots peace and justice organization working from campuses across the US.. We organize for an end to physical, social, and economic violence caused by militarism at home and abroad. We campaign for nuclear abolition. We support a foreign policy based on human rights and international cooperation, and a domestic agenda that supports human and environmental concerns, not Pentagon excess. War is not inevitable. We push for practical alternatives..

JOIN US TO RESIST THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION!

The Republican National Committee has, for the first time in its 150 year history, selected New York for their Convention from August 29-September 2, 2004. In a shallow attempt at exploiting the lives lost at the World Trade Center, the RNC has pushed the Convention date to September. We have witnessed two unjust wars, at least one American life lost each day overseas, a depressed economy, the collapse of the dollar, $87 billion to boost war profiteering, the closing of our firehouses, a health-care crisis, millions of children being left behind, and now this. We say, Enough!

Resist here on campus!
There is currently a convergence and march planned for Thursday, September 2nd from the Belltower at NCSU to the Republican State Headquarters to coincide with Bush's acceptance speech. We have permits to start the march at 6:30 at the Bell Tower and it lasts until the rally's end at 930. Come Join Us. Download our Flier!

Resist in NYC!
Groups from NCSU will be driving up to the convention in New York City for the resistance events and you are welcome to come along. For an affordable ride contact Dante at lustreplasmate@riseup.net.
